Sulbutiamine was developed in Japan as a more efficient version of vitamin B1. vitamin B1 (thiamine) is an essential nootropic vitamin and sulbutiamine mimics the effects of Thiamine at a more drastic level. Sulbutiamine is more efficient than thiamine at crossing the blood brain barrier and therefore much stronger in terms of effects. It is believed that sulbutiamine works similarly to thiamine however the effects are greatly enhanced. SUBUTIAMINE SIDE EFFECTS
Sulbutiamine has few side effects and is generally well-tolerated however there are still some things to be mindful of. The most common reported side effects are anxiety and irritability. These side effects are more likely to appear in higher than normal doses. Sulbutiamine also seems to promote depression/anxiety in some.
